Carbofilt GCF series filters are manufactured from fine grain coconut shell activated carbon known to have high surface area, filterability and long-lasting life along with bacteriostatic properties. coconut shell carbon has a substantially higher micro pore volume than other carbons, which provides a greater surface area and higher porosity. activated coconut shell carbon provides about 50% more micro pores than coal based carbon.The patented manufacturing process allows maximum performance through radial flow with optimum pressure drop. the use of end caps forces water to flow through the carbon block’s static pores. Carbofilt filter cartridges remove over 99% of chlorine, over 85% of organic carcinogens and heavy metals in minimal time.
The cartridges are suitable for pre-RO, filter tap use and cold-water service only.

CARBOFILT AG Series
CARBOFILT AG series filter cartridges are made using high quality silver impregnated carbon, protecting the cartridge from bacterial attack which can contaminate and block the filter. The carbon is bacteriostatic and does not promote bacteria growth in the media.
